Three Day Practice Schedules Posted

Starting September 1, 2008 The NJFl / Naugatuck Hounds will be moving to the 3-day practice week. All practices star at 6:00 p.m.The schedule is as follows:

News and Notes

Weather – The Board will decide when weather makes the fields unplayable or unsafe for play. This decision will be made by 5:00 p.m. and the coaches and team parents will be notified at that time. The web site will be updated with a cancellation status by 5:15 p.m. A coach can cancel a practice even if the Board has determined the fields to be playable, but no team will be able to practice if the Board has cancelled for the day.
Team / Player Pictures – Scheduled for August 30th and 31st before the game at Naugatuck High School. In the next few days, an individual picture will be taken for the team book to be certified with. This picture will be taken the day football players receive their game uniform.
Hounds Merchandise -- Get your Hounds’ T-Shirts, hats, tank tops, and sweatshirts while they’re hot! Also look for an order form for the ever-popular hoodie as well as a player / cheerleader button, or NJFL noisemaker.
Can Shake – The League will be shaking its can for donations on August 30th and 31st at the Stop and Shop and at the four-way stop by the Board of Education building. A schedule of team assignments will be handed out next week. A can shake is a great way to make our teams visible in the community and raise funds for the league at the same time.
